According to the British manufacturer, the Range Rover Sport S will be launched soon and thanks to its diesel engine, the model will have improved fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions. Land Rover says that the Range Rover Sport S will be powered by a 3.0 liter diesel engine, which will generate a total output of 211 horsepower and it will have a peak torque of 520 Nm. Even if 211 HP isn’t quite a lot, the torque figure is impressive and the 520 Nm will be available from low rpms.

The Range Rover Sport S, with its new engine, is burning an average of 8.5 liters every 100 km and the CO2 emissions stand at 224 g/km. The 3.0 liter diesel unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to an all-wheel drive system for which the Range Rover has become famous. The exterior design is basically unchanged, the only difference being the “S” badge. There’s no official word on its price tag yet, which will be announced close to its launch.
