What Car? Car of the Year Awards Nominees include Jaguar, Land Rover vehicles

Brace yourself. What Car? has revealed the vehicles in contention for its Car of the Year Awards.

Brace yourself. What Car? has revealed the vehicles in contention for its Car of the Year Awards. This is guaranteed to make motorists take note - but be careful. Raising this subject with friends tends to result in dangerous debate, crazy controversy, and mildly offensive language. This year there are thirteen categories to fight over, including 'city car', 'estate', and 'MPV'. The What Car? judges also face the tantalising task of choosing an overall winner before their ceremony in January. Before then they must drive hundreds of miles, evaluate 'witchcraft' inspired systems - then settle their debates with pistols at dawn.

What Car? Editor-in-Chief, Chas Hallett, commented: “The decision-making process this year is going to be harder than ever, because the automotive industry keeps building better, more economical and more desirable cars that offer consumers great value for money. The objective of the annual What Car? Awards is to let our readers know the best car in every class. The final decision is far from settled and many more miles of driving and hours of controversial discussions will take place between now and January 11.”
