Tata brings Nano car worth 22 Crore

The Rs 22 crore car boasts of over 80 kg 22 carat gold, 15 kg silver and many precious gems.

After introducing the cheapest car to the world -- Nano -- about three years ago, Tata Motors has now come out with one of the world' most expensive cars.

Nano, which was originally launched as a Rs 1 lakh car, was given a massive makeover using expensive metals and precious stones to make it India's most expensive car, which contends to be one of the costliest in the world.

The bling version of people's car is a one-off showpiece that would tour Tata-owned jewellery stores across the country.

Launched by Tata Motors chairman Ratan Tata on Monday, the Rs 22 crore car boasts of over 80 kg 22 carat gold, 15 kg silver and many precious gems.

For those who can afford it, still cannot buy the car as the company has no plans to sell it as yet. It is only meant for publicising the craft of jewellery.
