Evoque sales target of 300 units in Malaysia in 2012





Land Rover Malaysia has set a target of selling at least 300 units of their new SUV Evoque in 2012.  Mr. Hazem Abd Rahman, Managing Director of Land Rover in Malaysia said that with pre booking orders of 250 units, deliveries should commence by end November.  At the launch of Evoque, Rahman said that the company was optimistic of its success.

He also hoped that with the newly launched sports utility vehicle market share of the company should go up from the current 13% to 25% by the end of next year. With plans of moving to a bigger location with modern facilities Land Rover is also planning on setting up two more branches in Malaysia one in Penang and the other at Johor Baharu.

With an investment of RM2 million set for each branch which will come up in the next two years Land Rover will have a total of five branches in the country. Evoque at a starting price of RM 353,888 will have three variants and two body styles specially designed for its Malaysian customers.
