Land Rover Wins Two Awards at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nev. – Land Rover has received two awards at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show taking place in Las Vegas, Nev. between November 1 and 3, 2011. The LR2 has received the “Best Premium Compact SUV” award and the Range Rover has received the “Best Premium Large SUV” award.

The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. As part of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIW), the SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries for unlimited profit opportunities in the automotive, truck and SUV, and RV markets.

"We are honored to accept these awards from such a prestigious industry association”, said Kim McCullough, Brand Vice President, Land Rover North America. “Both of these vehicles represent Land Rover’s continued dedication to capability without compromising luxury.”

LR2

Upgraded interior and exterior styling give a fresh new look for the Land Rover LR2. Exterior design changes include a new front bumper and two bar grille, giving the LR2 a front appearance in line with the Land Rover LR4.

Three new colors, and new alloy wheels give the LR2 an overall more contemporary, sporty appearance. Inside, a new range of seat styles and a redesigned instrument cluster give the interior of the LR2 a fresh appearance.

Land Rover aficionados will also note another small but significant change in the famous Land Rover logo, which changes color from gold on green to a more contemporary bright silver on green.

The LR2 achieves 60mph in 8.4 seconds (0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds) and on to a top speed of 124mph (200 m/h).
