Jaguar XF 2.2 D launched in Australia

Jaguar has today launched their most fuel-efficient car with the Jaguar XF 2.2 Diesel.

The 2012 Jaguar XF 2.2 Diesel is not only the company’s most frugal car ever, but it also represents an opportunity for the brand to target a new wave of Jaguar buyers that in the past may have considered the exclusive marque out of reach from a financial perspective.

On sale now with the first batch of cars heading to a Jaguar showroom near you later in October, there will be just two model 2.2-litre Diesel variants on offer.

The Jaguar 2.2 Diesel Luxury will be priced at $78,900*, while the Premium Luxury with full leather trim and a host of other comforts will be priced at $86,100*.

However, Jaguar Australia are offering a drive away price of $84,990 for an XF 2.2 Diesel Luxury as long as it’s white or black car (read: non-metallic).

The list of standard features is extensive and includes the likes of standard Satellite Navigation with 7-inch touch screen and Bluetooth streaming, Bi-Xenon headlamps, Intelligent Start/Stop, Cruise Control with Automatic Speed Limiter, Electric Parking Brake and Dual Zone Climate Control to name but a small sample of the car’s creature comforts.

All Jaguar diesel models now come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift and steering wheel mounted paddles.
